How to Embed YouTube Videos in WordPress
Embedding a video is a great way to interact with your readers. Not only that, but it also increases the duration of their stay on your site giving them more time to check out your other posts, learn more about you, grab a free gift, get on your list and also provides a wonderful monetization opportunity! So let me show you How to embed YouTube videos in WordPress blogs the best way that I can!
There are three ways by which you can add YouTube videos to your WordPress blogs. Before we jump right into the “how”, let’s first understand some of the things that you need to know about embedding YouTube videos in your blog.
Go to YouTube and find the video you want to embed into your blog. For an example I will use a video that I watched last night…it’s hilarious! You can go watch it below, I added it so you all could enjoy a good laugh. Just promise me you won’t piss your pants!! LOL :)
First thing you want to do is click on the Share button. Doing this will open up more options underneath the YouTube video which I have highlighted and explained in the picture above.
To make things easy, I always grab the embed code, un-check the top box which allows YouTube to ‘Show suggested videos when the video finishes’ and check the bottom box to ‘Use old embed code‘.
You simply hover/place your mouse inside of the embed code box; click to highlight and then copy the code.
Once you are back to your blog click on HTML
Paste in the code where you want your YouTube video to be.
If you are going to add more to your post be sure to click on the Visual tab that is next to the HTML tab and continue writing your post like normal. Publish it when you are finished.
Enjoy the video!!!
