How to Change Your eBay Password

With all the news going around the net about the eBay hacking scare, I thought I might as well make a quick video tutorial and blog post my team or anyone looking for information on how to change their eBay password.

It’s not that hard to do and only takes a few moments so be sure to go over and get it done if you haven’t already!

Below the video tutorial I will type out the instructions on how to change your eBay password as well.

Step by Step Instructions on How to Change Your eBay Password

  1. Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages and sign in.
  2. Click the Account tab, and then click the Personal Information link on the left.
  3. On the Password line, click the Edit link on the right. For added security, you’ll be asked to sign in again.
  4. Enter you current password and your new password in the spaces provided and click Save.

As you saw in the video, this time that I changed my ebay password, eBay sent me email that I had to verify that it was me requesting this change.  All I had to do was click on the link in that email, then finished out the last step #4.

Not too hard to do now, is it?  :)  Run over to your account and get this fixed right away.

Happy eBaying!
