How To Add Meta Tags in Blogger Blogs

How to add meta tags in Blogger blogs

Go to your Blogger dashboard, click on Design then click Edit HTML.

Once you are on that page, you need to press the following keys: Ctrl+F
Doing so will be up a search box on the top right side of the screen and will make things
a whole lot easier for you!  Trust me…

Copy and paste this code into the search box:   <b:include data=’blog’ name=’all-head-content’/>

It will then highlight that code for you. Take a look at the example picture below.
Clicking on the picture will open it in another window at a larger size so you can see it clearer.

Now paste the following code right after the above line:

<meta content=‘YOUR BLOG DESCRIPTION HERE’ name=‘description’ />

<meta content=‘YOUR RELEVANT KEYWORDS HERE’ name=‘keywords’ />

<meta content=‘YOUR NAME HERE’ name=‘author’ />

<meta content=‘ALL’ name=‘ROBOTS’ />

<meta content=‘blogger’ name=‘generator’ />

If by chance you get this error message “Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure all XML elements are closed properly. XML error message: Open quote is expected for attribute “{1}” associated with an element type “content”.”

Simply copy the codes to a text editor (like Notepad), delete all the single quotation marks and type them manually.

All that is left to do is save the template.  The most important part, yet the step most people often forget!
It’s nice to be able to share these tips with other bloggers, so share with others before you go :)

Have fun!
